Ronald L. Rimer

Dr. Rimer started with KPA in 1975 and his patients and staff are happy to say that he is still here!
Dr. Rimer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 1968 and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1972. He completed his internship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and his residency at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Certifications and Licensures:
Dr. Rimer is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (retired).
Dr. Rimer is an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow, a member of Section Nephrology, Knoxville Academy of Medicine, Tennessee Association of Medicine and Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Rimer is married to Mary, a retired psychologist. They have two children, and four grandchildren with whom they spend as much time as possible. His other interests include church, fishing, hiking, travel, reading, and softball and Lady Vols basketball. He is not so sure any more about UT football! A lifelong dream has been to travel to the moon, but not until the price comes down.
