Kurt F. Brandt
Doctor of Medicine
Dr. Brandt has been with Knoxville Pediatric Associates since 1996.
He has had a varied and extensive Pediatric experience. After Medical school, residency, and a year of private practice, he and his wife worked in Sudan, Africa doing refugee relief work. He then practiced with the Indian Health Service in New Mexico for three years. He moved to Knoxville and worked in East Tennessee Children’s Hospital’s emergency room.
Dr. Brandt earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences in 1980 from the University of Virginia, and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1984. He completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia Children’s Medical Center.
Certifications and Licensures:
Dr. Brandt is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and licensed by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Brandt is an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow, a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and Knoxville Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Brandt is married to Dr. Dawn Huff and has four children. He enjoys gardening, hiking, art, exercising and reading.
